Kids with Cellphones Vulnerable to Text Injury

Isabelle Taylor, an 8 year old girl has developed repetitive strain injury after sending some 30 SMS message in a day.
Sending text messages can lead to RSI because mobile phone users tend to hold down their shoulders and upper arms when pressing the buttons, cutting off blood to the forearm.
Another theory says that because the movements are small they do not cause the blood to circulate, and that means the fingers are acting like an engine without oil. The effects include the painful swelling and inflammation of the fingers and thumb.
